The Victoria Railway Hotel

Victorian style boutique hotel accommodation in the heart of Invercargill City.

Built in 1896 this landmark registered building is an Invercargill icon with a New Zealand Historic Places Trust category 1 classification.

The hotel was closed for an architecturally designed upgrade and refurbishment in June 2003 and subsequently re-opened in May 2004.

On the 23rd May 2007 the Victoria Railway Hotel was the recipient of the Invercargill City Council Environment Award in recognition of the work done in conserving this Invercargill landmark property.

Lounge Bar and on site dining for house guests is available within the hotel at Gerrards Restaurant where the focus is traditional kiwi fare, fine Invercargill beers and kiwi wines.
